The East Java Transportation Agency (Dishub Jatim) will introduce an expedition service in Malang Raya as part of the development of the TransJatim bus service system. Cito Eko Yuly Saputro, Head of the Road Transport Facilities Section at Dishub Jatim, stated on Sunday that the launch of the expedition service, named TransJatim Ekspedisi or Tradisi, is planned to coincide with the opening of Corridor II Malang Raya. “We are planning for the completion of corridor two and the Tradisi service to be simultaneous in October 2026, barring any obstacles,” Cito said. The Tradisi service from TransJatim is already operating in the Gerbangkertosusila area, which includes Gresik, Bangkalan, Mojokerto, Surabaya, Sidoarjo, and Lamongan. He noted that the TransJatim Ekspedisi in Malang Raya is also part of an evaluation of the operational system implemented for the Gerbangkertosusila region. The agency assessed that the pool-to-pool concept applied for delivery and receipt of goods in Gerbangkertosusila was not entirely effective, as it still required the public to collect their parcels independently from the terminal, even though the service generated public interest. In contrast, the TransJatim Ekspedisi in Malang Raya will adopt a point-to-point concept, with couriers delivering items directly from the drop-off point at the terminal to the customer’s home. “So even if the service user does not ride the TransJatim bus, they can still send their goods via Tradisi,” he said. The East Java Transportation Agency stated that the delivery tariff will be calculated at Rp2,500 per kilometre. “The tariff we apply is all-in for all regions in East Java,” he concluded.
