East Java Tourism Ambassador Runner-Up Faces Sanctions Over Abortion Allegations

The runner-up of the 2026 East Java tourism ambassador competition, identified by the initials TFR, is facing sanctions after going viral over allegations he asked his girlfriend to terminate her pregnancy in Singapore. The East Java Raka Raki Association has stated it will take action against TFR over the alleged sexual violence and supports a full investigation into the case. “Regarding the alleged sexual violence involving a member of the East Java Raka Raki Association, we express our firm stance. We condemn all forms of violence, harassment, or abuse of power that violate the law, ethics, and humanitarian values,” the association said in a statement on its social media account. “We are committed to taking action against the alleged perpetrator in accordance with internal regulations, while respecting the ongoing investigative process. We are currently forming an independent, fair, and transparent team to thoroughly investigate this case.” Meanwhile, the Head of the East Java Culture and Tourism Office, Evy Afianasari, stated that TFR’s title could be revoked once all evidence is complete. Both the office and the association have summoned TFR regarding the case. “On Tuesday we will hold a hearing, and we will announce the decision afterwards. However, the heaviest sanction is the revocation of the title and the removal of the individual’s name from the Raka Raki Association,” Evy said.
