East Java State Revenue Reaches Rp128.18 Trillion in First Half of 2026

Surabaya, East Java (ANTARA) - The Head of the East Java I Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes, who also serves as the Head of the Ministry of Finance Representative Office for East Java, Max Darmawan, stated that state revenue realisation up to 30 June 2026 reached Rp128.18 trillion, or 42.45 per cent of the state budget target of Rp301.96 trillion. “This revenue consists of tax receipts of Rp123.81 trillion, or 41.87 per cent of the target, and non-tax state revenue (PNBP) of Rp4.37 trillion, or 69.86 per cent of the target,” he said during a press conference in Surabaya, East Java, on Monday. Tax receipts comprised tax revenue of Rp57.20 trillion, customs and excise of Rp66.61 trillion, and non-tax state revenue of Rp4.37 trillion, with year-on-year growth of 17.38 per cent, 0.41 per cent, and 7.23 per cent respectively. The tax revenue of Rp57.2 trillion, which has only reached 39.58 per cent of the target, was supported by an increase in corporate income tax receipts of Rp8.30 trillion, growing 16.34 per cent year-on-year, and personal income tax and Article 21 income tax of Rp5.65 trillion, growing 1.55 per cent year-on-year. On the other hand, net tax revenue from Article 22 Income Tax, Article 26 Income Tax, and Final Income Tax, amounting to Rp3.03 trillion, contracted by 1.15 per cent year-on-year due to refunds of overpaid taxes following tax court appeal decisions. “However, on a gross basis, it still recorded positive growth of 12.13 per cent year-on-year,” Max said. Tax revenue from the four main sectors—processing industry, trade, government, and transportation and warehousing—grew well both on a gross and net basis. Meanwhile, customs and excise revenue consisted of excise receipts of Rp63.11 trillion, or 43.59 per cent of the state budget target, which contracted 0.06 per cent year-on-year due to declining tobacco production in November-December 2025 and March 2026. Import duties were realised at Rp3.20 trillion, or 52.95 per cent of the target, growing 11.30 per cent year-on-year owing to an increase in import value and volume as well as a strengthening US dollar against the rupiah. Export duties were realised at Rp300 billion, or 79.95 per cent of the state budget target, but contracted 3.72 per cent year-on-year due to a decline in crude palm oil prices and the volume of its derivative products. State revenue was also supported by PNBP, whose performance was driven by the optimisation of public service agency receipts of Rp1.99 trillion and other PNBP of Rp2.38 trillion. The realisation of principal auction PNBP reached Rp1.88 trillion, auction PNBP was Rp49.05 billion, state receivables management PNBP was Rp79.07 million, and asset PNBP reached Rp85.86 billion.
