East Java Records Highest National KDKMP Transaction Value at IDR 24.02 Billion
Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono announced that East Java Province recorded the highest transaction value for the Village/Sub-district Cooperatives (KDKMP) programme nationally, reaching IDR 24.02 billion. Speaking at the peak of the 79th Cooperatives Day (Harkop) commemoration in Pamekasan Regency, he stated that this achievement proves East Java’s commitment to making KDKMP a real driver of the grassroots economy.
Data from the Cooperatives Ministry’s Village Cooperative Management Information System (Simkopdes), accessed on 21 July 2026, showed that the national KDKMP transaction value reached IDR 62.12 billion throughout 2026. East Java was the largest contributor to this figure. Ferry noted that the success was inseparable from the provincial government’s commitment to accelerating the establishment of KDKMP legal entities and encouraging them to operate and serve the community immediately. As a form of appreciation, the Ministry of Cooperatives will present a special award to East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa at the Cooperatives Award event scheduled for the end of July 2026.
Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa stated that cooperatives and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) contributed approximately 60 percent to East Java’s economic growth, which reached 5.9 percent in the first quarter of 2026. She confirmed that East Java is the fastest province in Indonesia in forming KDKMP legal entities, with a total of 8,494 cooperatives established. Tuban Regency was identified as the region with the best KDKMP transaction performance in East Java, with four of its cooperatives ranking among the top 10 in the province. The accumulated transactions of KDKMP in Tuban even surpassed the total transactions of cooperatives in several other provinces, including the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Central Java, West Java, DKI Jakarta, and Banten. Overall, the top 10 KDKMPs in East Java recorded a total transaction value of IDR 14.05 billion. The East Java Provincial Government also provided a total of IDR 1.9 billion in coaching grants to these 10 cooperatives.
