In addition, Khofifah is also promoting the development of the tourism sector in East Java, such as the Mount Bromo tourist area, to become more globally known, especially to attract tourists from China. According to her, cooperation in human resource development was also discussed to enhance the capacity and capabilities of East Java’s society, particularly for Provincial Civil Servants (ASN) through vocational education. “We hope this visit can strengthen collaboration between East Java and China in the investment, education, and tourism sectors, thereby providing broad benefits to the community,” Khofifah said. Meanwhile, Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia Wang Lutong explained that Chinese investments and investment opportunities in East Java continue to grow in line with the rapid progress in various sectors in the region. He emphasised that besides cooperation in the economic sector, cooperation in education, particularly in strengthening the implementation of Mandarin language from primary school to higher education levels, is seen as able to support the smooth economic cooperation that exists. Wang Lutong hopes that cooperation in various sectors by both parties can develop well in improving the economy and human resources of both.
