East Java Police and High Prosecutor's Office Strengthen Law Enforcement Synergy
Surabaya (ANTARA) - The East Java Regional Police (Polda Jatim) is strengthening synergy with the East Java High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati Jatim) to improve coordination in law enforcement and maintain regional security stability through inter-agency engagement. “There is no room for sectoral ego or barriers between law enforcement officers. What we must continue to build is a spirit of togetherness, coordination, and collaboration in accordance with our respective duties and authorities,” said East Java Police Chief Inspector General Nanang Avianto during a visit to the Kejati Jatim office in Surabaya on Tuesday. Nanang stated that Polda Jatim and Kejati Jatim are committed to enhancing coordination, communication, and collaboration in carrying out their duties as law enforcement officers. According to him, inter-agency synergy is a crucial foundation for maintaining public security and order (kamtibmas), ensuring legal certainty, and supporting various government programmes in East Java. “The ‘Jogo Jatim’ spirit is a shared commitment of all stakeholders, particularly law enforcement officers, to maintain security, order, and regional stability, as well as to provide professional, integrity-driven, and fair legal services to the public,” he said. Nanang expressed hope that closer collaboration between Polda Jatim and Kejati Jatim would result in professional law enforcement, maintain regional conduciveness, and increase public trust in law enforcement institutions. The engagement was also part of both institutions’ commitment to strengthening coordination within the integrated criminal justice system. Meanwhile, Head of the East Java High Prosecutor’s Office Abdul Qohar Affandi said the evolving security situation requires vigilance, coordination, and rapid response from all law enforcement officers. “Solidarity between the prosecutor’s office and the police is key to maintaining security and order, as well as increasing public trust in the law enforcement process,” he said. He affirmed that Kejati Jatim is ready to continue strengthening synergy with Polda Jatim to maintain public order stability and realise fair law enforcement.
