East Java Governor: Satoria Pharma Guarantees Infusion Supply for 14 Provincial Government Hospitals
Pasuruan, East Java (ANTARA) - East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa stated that Satoria Pharma’s new Line 4 infusion factory ensures the availability of infusion fluids for hospitals, particularly the 14 hospitals owned by the East Java Provincial Government (Pemprov Jatim). “We welcome this warmly, especially because this factory has the potential for cooperation with the 14 provincial government hospitals in East Java to obtain infusion supplies,” Khofifah said during the inauguration of Satoria Pharma’s Line 4 Factory in Pasuruan, East Java, on Tuesday. According to her, the growth in production capacity of PT Satoria Aneka Industri through its Satoria Pharma business unit, which is an infusion producer in Indonesia, must also be supported by the health sector, such as hospitals, particularly those under the East Java Provincial Government. This support, Khofifah said, is to absorb domestic products, including Indonesian-made infusions. She explained that hospitals in East Java, especially the regional general hospitals (RSUD) under the East Java Provincial Government, are expected to be pioneers in absorbing and utilising domestic products to strengthen industry and Indonesia’s health service system. In addition, Khofifah stated that Satoria Pharma also plays an important role in promoting import substitution in the pharmaceutical sector and the development of downstream-based manufacturing industry. “In fact, the energy of the nation’s children enables the enhancement of pharmaceutical provision and domestic raw material production. Of course, our hope is that this can go hand in hand with strengthening the Human Development Index (HDI), especially in improving the quality of public health in Indonesia, particularly in East Java,” she said.
