East Java fostered MSMEs record Rp4.33 billion in transactions at KKI 2026

Seven micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) fostered by Bank Indonesia East Java recorded transactions reaching Rp4.33 billion at the Karya Kreatif Indonesia (KKI) 2026 event, an increase of 228 per cent compared with last year’s realisation of Rp1.34 billion.

The seven Wastra and Laras Nusantara MSMEs are Jokotole, Al-Warist Batik, Hadi Batik Podhek, Gedog Zaenal Tuban, Canting Wira, Namira Ecoprint, and Batik Radhika.

“This is proof that East Java MSMEs have great potential to continue growing and expanding their markets,” said Head of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office for East Java Province, Ibrahim, in Surabaya on Friday.

Ibrahim said the increase in transaction achievement was driven, among other things, by the growing number of MSMEs passing KKI curation, increasingly diverse product variations, and the development of ready-to-wear products with designs that can reach various consumer segments.

According to Ibrahim, this achievement is a positive indication of the strengthening competitiveness of East Java MSME products, particularly in the wastra and fashion sectors, in reaching a wider consumer base.

In total, Bank Indonesia involved 65 fostered MSMEs to participate in the KKI online exhibition held from 25 July to 30 August 2026 through the official KKI website.

Nationally, KKI 2026 involved 1,860 MSMEs and recorded total sales of Rp177.21 billion.
