East Jakarta's Free Health Check Programme Integrated with TB Screening

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The East Jakarta Health Sub-Department (Suku Dinas Kesehatan Jakarta Timur) is developing the Free Health Check Programme (Cek Kesehatan Gratis, CKG) by integrating it with various health services, such as tuberculosis (TB) screening.

“We are also integrating various health screening programmes with the CKG, so that the public can obtain several services in a single visit,” said the Head of the East Jakarta Health Sub-Department, Arief Wahyudhy, when contacted by ANTARA in Jakarta on Saturday.

The move is intended to ensure that residents can receive more comprehensive services in a single visit.

“Through this approach, we strive to keep services fast, comfortable and of high quality even as the number of participants continues to increase,” he said.

The CKG service has now been integrated across all types of services at community health centres (puskesmas), so residents can come for treatment while also making use of other health services.

“This integration allows the public to receive several health services at once, making service delivery more effective and efficient,” said Arief.

The East Jakarta Municipal Government (Pemkot) is also expanding access to the CKG programme through mobile outreach services at various locations, ranging from schools, government offices and places of worship to community gatherings and public events such as the Jakarta Fair (PRJ).

These efforts are aimed at making it easier for the public to access health check services without having to visit a puskesmas directly.
