East Jakarta Satpol PP Adds CCTV Monitors to Strengthen Regional Surveillance

The East Jakarta Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) has added two CCTV monitor screens at its command post to strengthen regional surveillance. East Jakarta Satpol PP Head Muhammadong said on Tuesday that the agency continues to bolster its monitoring system, with the additional facilities intended to increase the effectiveness of monitoring various potential public order disturbances. Previously, the command post was equipped with only one monitor screen. With the two new monitors, officers can now more thoroughly monitor around 100 CCTV points spread across various areas of East Jakarta. Muhammadong stated that this surveillance upgrade is a strategic step to support officers in the early detection of potential security and public order disturbances that could occur at any time. He expressed hope that Satpol PP officers could be more optimal in monitoring regional conditions through CCTV, both to anticipate mugging, brawls, and other public order disturbances. Beyond installing additional monitors at the command post, a large monitor screen has also been placed in the office of the East Jakarta Satpol PP Head. The presence of this monitor enables the leadership to conduct direct, real-time monitoring of regional conditions, thereby accelerating decision-making when situations require immediate handling. Muhammadong confirmed that the East Jakarta Satpol PP Command Post operates 24 hours a day, every day. To ensure optimal surveillance, each shift change is staffed by two primary officers and two reserve personnel tasked with continuously monitoring communication radios and CCTV feeds. This system is designed so that no important information is missed during the monitoring process. With the support of technology and human resources on standby around the clock, Muhammadong hopes the agency can improve its response to various incidents that could potentially disrupt public safety and order. Should officers discover an incident requiring rapid handling, the command post will immediately coordinate with the police and other relevant agencies.
