East Jakarta PMI Distributes Aid to Fire Survivors in Utan Kayu Selatan

The Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of East Jakarta has distributed humanitarian aid to residents surviving the fire on Jalan Rasamala Raya, Utan Kayu Selatan, Matraman District. The assistance serves as a form of care to help alleviate the burden of those undergoing recovery following the fire that occurred last Friday (29/5), stated the Chairman of PMI East Jakarta, Bambang Pangestu Aldriyan, in Jakarta on Wednesday.

The aid provided includes three food packages, three family kits, three folding mats, and three hygiene kits. Bambang expressed hope that the assistance would help meet the basic needs of the fire survivors while providing moral support during their current situation. “We from the PMI will always be ready and prompt in helping our brothers and sisters in need,” said Bambang.

Meanwhile, the Head of Matraman District, Muhammad Husnul Fauji, appreciated the rapid response of PMI East Jakarta in following up on the request for aid previously submitted by the district office. According to him, the assistance is highly significant for the survivors who are currently striving to rebuild their lives and meet daily needs following the incident. “We express our gratitude for the assistance provided. This is certainly very beneficial in easing the burden of the residents affected by the fire,” said Huslan.
