East Jakarta Municipality Prioritises Road Repairs in Makasar Development Planning Deliberation
Jakarta (ANTARA) – The East Jakarta City Government is focusing on discussing road repairs during the Plenary Session closing the 2026 Makasar Sub-district Development Planning Deliberation (Musrenbang).
“A total of 66 proposals related to Bina Marga, road repairs, we will focus on carrying out maintenance together,” said the East Jakarta City Secretary, Eka Darmawan, in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He also urged that once the proposals have been realised, they should be publicised in the form of content and disseminated to the public so that everyone can work together to maintain and care for what has been done.
According to Eka, maintenance should not only be carried out by the government, but also through cooperation from the RT and RW (neighbourhood and community unit) in monitoring what has been implemented in their respective areas.
“Maintenance is important, and monitoring should also be carried out by the RW and everyone should work together to maintain what has been proposed in the Musrenbang,” he said.
The Musrenbang generated 233 proposals, consisting of 174 physical proposals and 59 proposals for goods. Of that number, the Bina Marga Sub-department had the highest number of proposals, with 66.
“We hope that the activities prioritised will be three from each representative from each RW. From the proposals in the Makasar Sub-district, we can accommodate the needs of the community and the needs of the area in the context of development and regional planning,” said Eka.
He added that the presence of DKI Jakarta DPRD member H. Ahmad Moetaba is expected to provide motivation and provide input on the proposals in the Makasar Sub-district, which will certainly be given more attention and carefully considered together.
DKI Jakarta DPRD Commission B member, H. Ahmad Moetaba, hopes that no proposals from the RT, RW or kelurahan (village) will be rejected.
“There should be no more rejecting proposals for Musrenbang activities from the RT, RW and kelurahan that have been agreed upon at the kelurahan level,” said Ahmad.
Meanwhile, the Makasar sub-district head, Dimas Prayudi, explained that the total budget for the 233 proposals is IDR 2.8 billion.
The proposals from the five kelurahan consist of 66 proposals from the Bina Marga Sub-department, 49 proposals from the Water Resources Sub-department, 46 proposals from the Transportation Sub-department, 41 proposals from the Sports Sub-department, 21 proposals from the Culture Sub-department, seven proposals from the Housing Sub-department, two proposals from the Library Sub-department, and one proposal from the Education Sub-department.
