East Jakarta Mobile Veterinary Clinic Equipped with Ultrasound and Blood Testing Facilities

The East Jakarta Food Security, Marine and Agriculture (KPKP) Sub-agency has announced that its newly launched mobile veterinary clinic is equipped with a range of medical devices, including an ultrasonography (USG) unit and blood testing equipment. “In every mobile veterinary clinic unit, and East Jakarta has received one, it is equipped with various supporting veterinary medical service facilities, such as USG, blood and urine testing, and biochemistry tools,” said Head of the East Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency, Taufik Yulianto, on Tuesday. He confirmed that the service is also fitted with a microscope, an anaesthesia machine, and other diagnostic support facilities to enable more optimal animal health examinations and treatment. Taufik explained that each mobile clinic is operated by one veterinarian and one veterinary paramedic who are ready to provide direct services to the public. “For the first week of this month, following the inauguration last Friday, we have already designated several locations as initial trial points for the mobile clinic in East Jakarta over the course of a week,” Taufik stated. The mobile veterinary clinic began its services in East Jakarta on 13-14 July at the Kelapa Dua Wetan Sub-district Office, Ciracas. It then moved to the Pondok Bambu Sub-district Office, Duren Sawit, on 15-16 July, and will be stationed at the Penggilingan Sub-district Office, Cakung, on 17 July. Services run from 08:30 to 14:30 WIB. Taufik added that the service is designed to bring animal healthcare closer to the community by rotating through various sub-districts. A standard outpatient health check is priced at Rp35,000. For cats, examination and treatment costs Rp70,000, while for dogs, goats, and cattle, the fee is Rp100,000. Surgical procedures are also available, with minor operations costing Rp175,000. Sterilisation services are offered at Rp400,000 for cats and Rp700,000 for dogs. Diagnostic laboratory services include blood haematology tests at Rp100,000 per sample per test type and blood biochemistry tests at Rp75,000 per sample per test type. An ultrasonography (USG) examination is available for Rp200,000.
