East Jakarta Mayor Gathers OPD: JAKI Reports Must Be Genuine, Not AI Fabrications
JAKARTA - East Jakarta Mayor Munjirin has stressed that follow-up actions on public complaints must be valid and genuinely carried out in the field.
He made this statement while gathering all Organisational Units of Regional Apparatus (OPD) in East Jakarta, following a report that JAKI used artificial intelligence (AI) by PPSU officers on Monday (6/4/2026).
“Ensure everything is done according to standard operating procedures. Every follow-up on public complaints must be carried out genuinely, transparently, and accountably,” Munjirin said in a statement on Tuesday (7/4/2026).
“Do not upload reports before confirming that the resolution is valid. This must be a priority to prevent similar cases from recurring,” Munjirin added.
Previously, a netizen complained about illegal parking on residential streets in Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta.
The owner of the Threads account @seinsh stated that residents had reported the illegal parking issue up to the sub-district level.
The complainant also claimed to have received evidence of follow-up that was allegedly manipulated using artificial intelligence (AI).
“How do you handle illegal parking on sub-district roads? Residents protested directly to the perpetrators without success, reported to the sub-district level without resolution, and when reported via JAKI, they were given fake evidence from AI edits,” the user wrote in the post.
Now, the PPSU officer who uploaded the follow-up photo report via the JAKI app using AI has been given a first warning sanction (SP1).
