East Jakarta Kadin Encourages Local Entrepreneurs to be Pillars of Regional Economic Growth
The East Jakarta branch of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) held its 5th City Leadership Meeting at the Luxury Inn Arion Hotel, Rawamangun, East Jakarta, on Tuesday (May 12). This event marked the final City Leadership Meeting during the 2021-2026 leadership term. In his speech, Chairman of the East Jakarta Kadin, Anta Ginting, emphasized the importance of local entrepreneurs as the driving force behind regional economic growth.
The 5th City Leadership Meeting in 2026 carried the theme “Local Entrepreneurs as Pillars of Economic Growth in East Jakarta,” with the sub-theme “East Jakarta Kadin Supporting Business Synergy to Drive Economic Growth in East Jakarta.”
According to Anta Ginting, the economic growth of East Jakarta heavily relies on the strength of local businesses in facing evolving economic challenges. Therefore, the City Leadership Meeting serves as a strategic moment to strengthen coordination, evaluate work programs, and formulate concrete steps that have a direct impact on the business world.
“Kadin must be present not only as an organization but also as a collaborative hub for the business world and a bridge between entrepreneurs, the government, and all regional economic stakeholders,” said Anta Ginting in his speech.
The City Leadership Meeting also serves as an annual coordination forum, as stipulated in Article 30, paragraphs (1) and (2) of the Kadin’s Articles of Association, to strengthen the synchronization of programs among organizational levels and support sustainable regional economic development.
During the event, the East Jakarta Kadin also invited all administrators and business actors to maintain organizational solidarity, enhance professionalism, and strengthen their commitment to supporting regional economic development.
In closing his speech, Anta Ginting expressed hope that the 5th City Leadership Meeting in 2026 would produce realistic and adaptive work programs to address the challenges faced by the business world in East Jakarta.
“When local entrepreneurs work together, the regional economy will grow stronger,” he concluded.
