East Jakarta City Government Strengthens Civil Service Quality to Improve Services

The East Jakarta City Government is strengthening the quality of its state civil apparatus (ASN) and personnel management in an effort to improve public services through a Personnel Regulation Understanding Enhancement activity held in Jakarta on Wednesday.

East Jakarta Mayor Munjirin stated that the activity aims to provide participants with a better understanding of personnel regulations, particularly regarding civil servant (PNS) pension proposals, talent management, employee data updates, and explanations of the Personnel Information System (Simpeg) and the ASN Registration Information System (RegASN).

“I hope all participants can take advantage of this opportunity to gain a better understanding of various personnel regulations, and to apply and disseminate the knowledge gained to colleagues in their respective units,” Munjirin said during the event at the East Jakarta Mayor’s Office.

He added that the activity is also an effort to improve the quality of personnel services by aligning understanding in accordance with applicable provisions. “So that there is a better understanding of updating employee data through the RegASN System, and the implementation of personnel administration within the East Jakarta City Government can run more orderly, effectively, and in accordance with applicable regulations,” Munjirin explained.

Wahyu Handoko, Head of the East Jakarta Personnel Agency, noted that participants were invited from Regional Work Units (UKPD), personnel managers, community health centres (Puskesmas), and sub-district heads. “We hope that the colleagues who have been invited can convey the information provided to their respective front-line staff,” Wahyu said. He also expressed hope that participants can understand the regulations and implement all the knowledge gained within their teams.

The event was attended by East Jakarta Personnel Agency Head Wahyu Handoko and Head of the Personnel, Administration and Public Services Division Nugroho Bayu Saputro. Resource persons included the Head of Regional Office V of the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) Betti Riana Sihaloho and Danang Andri Yanto from the Personnel Data and Information Centre (Pusdatin) of the Jakarta Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD). The activity was attended by 100 participants representing sub-districts, urban villages, service units, and community health centres across East Jakarta.
