Officers are utilising the Sadang access to the Jakarta-Cikampek II Southern Toll Road to ease congestion on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, one day after Eid al-Fitr 2026.

The Head of Public Relations of Karawang Police Resort, Ipda Cep Wildan, stated in Karawang on Sunday (22/3/2026) that the police, along with relevant agencies, are now implementing traffic engineering by opening an alternative route.

“Starting today from 09.00 to 17.00 WIB, the route from the Cipularang Toll entering via Sadang has been opened for returning holidaymakers’ vehicles. They will then be directed to enter the Japek II Southern route and exit at the Setu-Burangkeng Toll, Bekasi Regency,” he said.

It was mentioned that this step is a strategic effort to reduce vehicle density on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road section while distributing traffic flow more evenly and smoothly.

“It is hoped that with the opening of this route, the journey for returning holidaymakers will be smoother and more comfortable,” said the Head of Public Relations of Karawang Police Resort.

Additionally, it was conveyed that the Japek II Southern alternative route is currently being implemented without charges or free of toll for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah holidaymakers. Nevertheless, the police advise all road users to remain cautious, considering that the road conditions being traversed are still relatively new.

“We remind all returning holidaymakers to stay alert, maintain vehicle speed, and always obey signs and instructions from on-site officers, both from the police and Jasa Marga personnel,” he said.

Karawang Police Resort, together with relevant parties, will continue to monitor and regulate traffic flow to ensure that the homecoming journey proceeds safely, orderly, and smoothly.
