Earthquake Shakes Jember, Magnitude 3.4
An earthquake occurred in Jember, East Java, on Friday (12/6/2026). The quake struck at 9.01 Western Indonesia Time (WIB), with a magnitude of 3.4.
According to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the earthquake was located at 9.36 South Latitude and 113.43 East Longitude. The quake was centred 131 kilometres southwest of Jember at a depth of 81 kilometres.

"This information prioritises speed, so the results of data processing are not yet stable and could change as data becomes more complete," it added.
