Early Morning Terror in Buleleng: Student Raped While Home Alone
A student in Buleleng District, Bali, is believed to have been raped by an unknown perpetrator whilst alone at home. The incident occurred on Tuesday 10 March 2026 at approximately 3:00 AM in the early morning when the victim’s house was empty.
The Head of Public Relations at Buleleng Police Station, Iptu Yohana Rosalin Diaz, acting with the permission of the Buleleng Police Chief, confirmed upon inquiry that a report regarding the incident had been received.
“This incident was reported to Buleleng Police Station with report number LP/B/78/III/2026/SPKT/Polres Buleleng/Polda Bali on 10 March. Currently, investigators are still conducting an investigation and the identity of the suspect remains under investigation,” she said on Wednesday 11 March 2026.
House Empty, Perpetrator Allegedly Broke Down Door
The incident occurred whilst the victim’s family were at hospital, leaving the house vacant. The victim was alone in the house at the time.
In this situation, the perpetrator allegedly broke into the victim’s locked home before entering the victim’s bedroom.
Lights Switched Off, Victim Threatened
Upon entering the bedroom, the perpetrator switched off the lights. The perpetrator then used violence against the victim and threatened to kill her if she screamed.
Faced with these threats, the victim dared not resist. After committing his act, the perpetrator then fled the scene.
The victim stated she did not know the perpetrator. During a brief conversation during the incident, the perpetrator asked whether the victim knew him.
Additionally, the perpetrator reportedly stated that he did not come alone, but rather with two other individuals when entering the victim’s house.
Police Still Investigating Perpetrator
Police are now conducting a series of investigations to identify the perpetrator, including gathering statements from the victim and tracing the possible location of the perpetrator.
“Investigators are continuing to delve deeper into this case by gathering statements and existing evidence to identify the perpetrator,” explained Iptu Yohana.
