JAKARTA - Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya, along with Transport Minister (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi, monitored the peak of the Lebaran 2026 return flow at Pulo Gebang Terminal, Cakung, East Jakarta, in the early hours of Wednesday (25/3/2026).

Teddy claimed he wanted to ensure that the movement of people returning from mudik remained safe, comfortable, and smooth.

“At 1 a.m., I was invited by the Transport Minister to check the peak return flow at Pulo Gebang Terminal. Alhamdulillah, after asking directly to the mudik participants on the buses, they said their journeys were smooth and comfortable. We also greeted them, shook hands, and took a few photos to make the mudik participants happy,” Teddy wrote on the Cabinet Secretariat’s account on Wednesday.

Teddy stated that the government wants to ensure that this year’s mudik and return flows run better than last year.

“The government has also prepared anticipatory measures to face the potential second wave of return flow on 28-29 March through the implementation of traffic engineering such as situational one-way systems, rest area arrangements, restrictions on goods transport vehicles,” he said.

“As well as several policies on toll fee discounts and thousands of free mudik buses that can be utilised by the public,” Teddy added.

Thus, the public can arrive at their destinations safely and comfortably.
