Jakarta (ANTARA) - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo will advance the timing of the Motor Vehicle-Free Day (HBKB) or car free day (CFD) to 05:30–10:00 WIB starting from 1 June 2026, after first trialling the new schedule this week in the Thamrin-Sudirman and Rasuna Said areas. Pramono stated that the trial of the new CFD schedule will take place this week and will officially apply from 1 June. “Because I am diligent in exercising and enthusiastic about sports, starting from 1 June, we will propose that Car Free Day begins at 05:30 in the morning,” Pramono revealed in East Jakarta on Friday. Pramono explained that this schedule will apply to CFD in the Rasuna Said and Thamrin-Sudirman areas. He also hopes that all facilities in Rasuna Said will be completed by 1 June, allowing the public who wish to participate in CFD in the Rasuna Said area to exercise comfortably. “We will soon complete the renovation or revitalisation facilities in Rasuna Said. Hopefully, by June it will be fully completed,” said Pramono. Previously, Acting Head of the Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Ujang Harmawan revealed that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will implement Motor Vehicle-Free Day (HBKB) on Jalan H.R. Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, on 10 May 2026 from 05:30–10:00 WIB as part of the launch event for Jakarta’s 499th Anniversary. “For the eastern side of Jalan H.R. Rasuna Said, it applies to the segment from the Gembira Road intersection to the Raya Casablanca Road intersection. Meanwhile, on the western side, it applies to the segment from the Prof. Dr. Satrio Road intersection to the northern end of Setiabudi Raya Road,” Ujang explained. The DKI Dishub provides four parking points around the event location, namely oParkir Pasar Festival and GOR Soemantri: 305 car spaces and 437 motorcycle spaces; Parking in Rasuna Epicentrum Area: 850 car spaces and 685 motorcycle spaces; Setiabudi One: 310 car spaces and 450 motorcycle spaces; and Nyi Ageng Serang Building: 215 car spaces and 435 motorcycle spaces. Public transport services will continue to operate during HBKB, namely Transjakarta routes L13 (Puri Beta–Kuningan Express Flyover), 4D (Pulo Gadung–Kuningan), 6 (Ragunan–Galunggung), 6A (Ragunan–City Hall via Kuningan), 6B (Ragunan–City Hall via Semanggi), and 6H (Senen–Lebak Bulus). In addition, the LRT Jabodebek lines from Dukuh Atas–Harjamukti and Dukuh Atas–Jati Mulya will also continue to operate.
