E. Java v Aceh in U-15 final

JAKARTA (JP): East Java and Aceh will lock horns in the Coke Cup national under-15 soccer championship final in Tondano Minahasa, North Sulawesi on Friday after scoring convincing wins in yesterday's semifinals.

Playing before a crowd of 10,000 the newly built 30,000-seat Maesa stadium, last year's runner-up East Java ended arch rival West Java's dreams of emulating national champion Persib Bandung with a 2-0 victory.

Striker Eko Chandra Susilo gave his side an early lead with a 10th minute goal. Attack-minded defender Tri Wibowo sent home a loose ball 20 meters from the net to confirm East Javanese control over West Java in the match.

Aceh, the only non-Javanese team in the last four, demonstrated its superb attacking soccer, trashing Jakarta 4-0 for the final berth. The team from the country's westernmost province romped to a 3-0 lead in the first half, with the tournament's top scorer Kausar Imran netting his sixth goal. (amd)
