DWP 2023 Implicated in Whip Pink Case; Bareskrim Schedules Management Interrogation Today
The investigation into the distribution and use of nitrous oxide (N2O), commonly known as ‘laughing gas’ under the brand Whip Pink, continues to progress. The Narcotics Crime Directorate (Dittipid Narkoba) of the Indonesian National Police (Bareskrim Polri) is expanding its inquiry by examining parties suspected of having links to the product’s promotion.
One of the latest steps taken by investigators is scheduling an interrogation of the Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP) management. This procedure is intended to investigate allegations that the sale and promotion of Whip Pink took place concurrently with the DWP 2023 event.
The Director of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Pol Eko Hadi Santoso, stated that the interrogation was scheduled for Monday afternoon (8/6/2026).
“Today, Monday, 8 June 2026, at 15:00 WIB, investigators from Subdit III of the Narcotics Crime Directorate will conduct an examination of the Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP) management,” Eko told reporters.
The investigation focuses on the promotion of Whip Pink during DWP 2023. According to Eko, the interrogation is not related to the music event itself, but rather to clarify the alleged promotion of the Whip Pink product during the festival. Investigators seek to uncover further information regarding the nature of the promotion, the parties involved, and the connection between these promotional activities and the distribution of the product, which is currently under scrutiny by law enforcement.
This move is part of Bareskrim Polri’s efforts to trace the distribution chain, marketing, and usage of Whip Pink, which has recently gained notoriety due to allegations of misuse for recreational effects.
The case originated from investigations into the use of ‘laughing gas’. Previously, the Narcotics Crime Directorate team interrogated an influencer, identified by the initials APG, regarding the use of Whip Pink. The 22-year-old influencer, residing in Makassar, was questioned on Wednesday (3/6/2026) after her name went viral on social media platforms.
