Palembang (ANTARA) - The Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) team from the Indonesian National Police’s Pusdokkes has successfully identified 14 out of the 17 victims of the accident involving an ALS bus and a tanker truck in Muratara Regency, South Sumatra.

“Out of the 17 victims of the ALS bus accident, 14 bodies have been identified,” said the Deputy Chief of the South Sumatra Police, Brigadier General Pol Rony Samtana, during a press conference in Palembang, Friday.

The identified bodies, based on the results of DNA samples tested at the forensic laboratory, are Aldy Sulistiawan (M), Syamsiah Bachri (F), Zulpan Efendi (M), Agustina Maharani (F) or the wife of Aldy Sulistiawan, Martoni (M), Aryanto (M), Klinton Wardana Marbun (M), Bahrul Ulum (M), Syafruddin Nasution (M), Alif Supriyatin (M), and Budiyanto (M).

Based on secondary data, the three other identified bodies are Abella Zea Septiana, the child of Aldy Sulistiawan, Zulkifli, and Sukono.

“So far, we are still working on identifying the remaining three bodies,” said Rony.

The bodies have been handed over by the Deputy Chief of the South Sumatra Police to their respective families at Bhayangkara Hospital in Palembang.
