Duty and responsibility

Duty and responsibility

From Merdeka

Nearly 50 percent of the Indonesian population have seen in
the printed media or on television that you have taken an oath of
office stating, "will neither receive nor give anything in any
form that is suspicious or is liable to suspicion ..."

If you have received something which is liable to suspicion
and related to your duty and responsibility, and to which only
God is witness, it is possible or certain that God has forgiven
you for violating your pledge.

However, what you have received from Jamsostek (the state-
owned social security company) on instruction/request, is known
by the whole population via the media. The religious Indonesian
nation may have forgiven you before you make an apology, but
morality and ethics oblige you to apologize to the people who
have elected and entrusted you as representatives at the House of
Representatives. Show the greatness of your soul and the spirit
of your sacrifice.

The heroes of the revolution who have already given an example
of sacrifice will be grateful that the generations after them
have inherited their spirit of sacrifice.
