Dutch painter to hold expo
JAKARTA (JP): A Swiss-born Dutch painter, Paul Husner is to display his works at Erasmus Huis, Jl. H.R. Rasuna Said, Kuningan, Jakarta, from Feb. 7 to March 8.
Dr. Toety Heraty is scheduled to open the exhibition.
Husner, who has been living in the Netherlands since 1964 studied graphics art from 1965 to 1967 at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. Between 1967 and 1969 he did a free painting course at the Rijksacademie voor Beeldende Kunsten, also in Amsterdam.
He has received several awards from the Dutch government, including Uriot Prijs (1969), Willink can Collenprijs (1971), Jeane Bieruma Prijs (1971) and Arti Medaille (1987).
Husner's works are collected by the state, the Amsterdam City Hall and individuals from countries all around the world. (sur)
