During Return Flow, Minister of Public Works Claims Toll Road Conditions Maintained
JAKARTA - Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo has claimed that toll road conditions remain well-maintained during the 2026 Lebaran return flow period through routine maintenance and accelerated handling at several repair points. This assessment was conveyed by Dody after directly inspecting the conditions of the Trans-Java Toll Road to ensure the quality of the pavement and driving comfort. He stated that overall, the toll road conditions are good and capable of supporting the smooth mobility of the public during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming and return flow period. “Overall, the toll road conditions are smooth and maintained. Repairs at several points have also been followed up, so the quality of service remains preserved,” Dody said, quoted from a press release on Sunday (29/3/2026). Dody emphasised that toll road maintenance must be carried out consistently to ensure the safety and comfort of road users. “Maintenance must continue to be done routinely. If there is damage, it must be handled immediately so as not to disrupt the comfort and safety of road users,” he said. The Ministry of Public Works also ensures that toll road service standards remain met, particularly in maintaining road pavement conditions. Head of BPJT at the Ministry of Public Works, Wilan Oktavian, stated that supervision is carried out actively through routine inspections and field evaluations so that every potential damage can be identified early. “We ensure that BPJT has adequate response capacity, both in terms of the number of teams, speed of handling, and readiness of material continuity, so that every damage can be handled quickly,” he said. As part of these efforts, BPJT ensures the readiness of pavement handling teams in the field with adequate material support to keep road quality optimal. For the Cikampek–Palimanan Toll Road (Cipali) section, Astra Tol Cipali has prepared 11 patching teams and conducts daily routine inspections to ensure that every potential damage can be handled immediately without disrupting traffic flow. The Ministry of Public Works states that it will continue to ensure that toll road services remain optimal so that the public can travel safely, comfortably, and smoothly.
