During Ramadan, Police Distribute Basic Foodstuffs to the Elderly in Puncak, Bogor
Police distributed basic foodstuffs in the Megamendung area of Bogor, West Java. The aid was provided to the elderly and the destitute in need.
‘Today’s activity is the distribution of aid in the form of basic necessities provided by the Bogor Police Chief,’ said Megamendung Police Sector Chief AKP Desi Triana, on Wednesday, 4 March 2026.
’The distribution took place on Tuesday morning, 4 March. Desi said the basic-food distribution was conducted ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
‘With the day-to-day needs that are highly sought after by the elderly and the poor being very difficult to obtain and enjoy, we have therefore created Polisi Baik Berbagi,’ she said.
‘A number of basic staples distributed include rice, cooking oil, sugar, tea, coffee, and others. It is hoped that the assistance will ease the burden on recipients.’
‘In addition to providing aid, the police also conducted outreach to the community. The outreach included cautions about borrowing money and the like.’
‘Of course, as law enforcement officers of the Republic of Indonesia, we also issue a Kamtibmas advisory to remain vigilant against unclear offers,’ she explained.
‘Such as lending arrangements, debts (pinjol), and other schemes that are unclear; we hope people will not be tempted or influenced by promises, as they can mislead and increase the burden,’ she added.
