During Ramadan, PJT II Guarantees Safe Raw Water Supply
PERUM Jasa Tirta II (PJT II) has ensured that the stability of raw water supply remains secured to meet public demand. Water operation management is conducted in a planned manner so that raw water supply to the public and other strategic requirements remain available safely and sustainably throughout the Eid al-Fitr holiday period.
Chief Executive of PERUM Jasa Tirta II, Imam Santoso, conveyed that the company’s commitment to maintaining the reliability of water resource services remains a top priority, including during major religious holidays and national holidays. “During the Eid al-Fitr holiday period, PJT II will continue to deploy operational teams in the field to ensure all water resource infrastructure operates properly. Monitoring of dams, canals, and hydroelectric power generation facilities continues to be conducted to ensure service to the public is maintained,” said Imam.
He added that water resource management is a public service that must run continuously, making operational readiness a crucial matter for ensuring the system remains reliable. Therefore, internal coordination between divisions and work units continues to be strengthened so that every potential disruption can be anticipated quickly and accurately.
This is supported by water resource operation and maintenance activities that continue to run optimally during the joint holiday and Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri period. This also aligns with the implementation of the “work from anywhere” (WFA) regulation for civil servants, state-owned enterprises, and the private sector during 16-17 March and 25-28 March 2026.
This preparedness is achieved through operational scheduling and personnel deployment across various strategic infrastructures, including dams, water channels, and hydroelectric power plants (PLTA) managed by the company. Intensive monitoring continues to be conducted to ensure all water management systems function properly and to anticipate various potential disruptions during this period.
In addition to monitoring main infrastructure, PJT II conducts regular hydrological condition monitoring by leveraging digital infrastructure reliability to ensure water operation management can be carried out optimally according to requirements. This step is part of the company’s efforts to maintain balance between water availability, service requirements, and sustainable water resource management.
With strong collaboration between teams on duty, both those in the field and those performing support functions, as well as support from various stakeholders, the company continues to strive to maintain the reliability of water resource management services during the holiday period. Through this preparedness, it is hoped that the public can celebrate Eid al-Fitr and gather with family comfortably, whilst the water management system continues to operate optimally.
