Durians flooding Banda Aceh

Durians flooding Banda Aceh

BANDA ACEH, Aceh: Tens of thousands of durians from the west
and south coasts have been flooding traditional markets in Banda
Aceh.

Durian sellers said that the abundance of durians had resulted
in a significant price drop.

"A big, quality durian now costs Rp 8,000, Rp 7,000 cheaper
than they were before. A small durian now costs only between Rp
3,000 and Rp 4,000, or Rp 2,000 cheaper than before."

Almost all of the city's corners are occupied by durian
sellers, making the capital of the restive province more lively,
especially at night.
