Duria now hard to find

BUSAN, South Korea: The Busan 2002 Asian Games mascot, Duria
the seagull, is now missing from the memorabilia counters at the
Busan Expo and Convention Center (BEXCO) after weeks of being
sought after.

Athletes who won medals are sure to get their own catch of the
day, but not losing athletes or journalists.

"Yesterday they said I would have to wait for two days but
they just couldn't provide the mascot anymore," a fellow
journalist said.

"Lucky for me, I bought two earlier before the Games had even
started," another said, proudly displaying his Durias.

Late buyers had to register first before they could have their
own Duria at the later stages of the Games, while early buyers
could buy as many as five mascots easily.--JP
