Jakarta — The Director General of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Teguh Setyabudi, has confirmed that civil administration services will remain accessible during the joint leave period and Lebaran holiday.

According to Teguh, regional Dukcapil offices have been instructed to deploy on-call staff to serve citizens requiring urgent civil registration documents. “We have already requested that regional Dukcapil offices prepare standby personnel during the joint leave or Lebaran holiday,” said Teguh when met on Thursday (12 March 2026). “For example, if someone’s national ID card is lost, or if a citizen needs to access hospital services for health insurance claims but their documentation is incomplete, they can still receive assistance,” he added.

Teguh emphasised that this standby service is not new. Dukcapil routinely deploys personnel who remain on duty during various long holiday periods and national activities. “It is not just ahead of the Lebaran holiday. During each Eid al-Fitr, Christmas, and even during elections and various other activities, we also maintain standby personnel,” he stated.

Dukcapil has also urged the public to properly safeguard their civil registration documents during homecoming travel.
