Dukcapil Holds Mobile Service for Vulnerable Residents, Including Special School Students
The Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration (Ditjen Dukcapil) of the Ministry of Home Affairs carried out a mobile outreach service in Palu City, Central Sulawesi Province, from 18 to 22 August 2026. The activity targeted vulnerable residents at several locations, ranging from special schools (SLB), sub-districts, to health facilities.
Sesario Fernandes, Deputy Team Leader for Population Identity at the Directorate of Population Registration and Civil Registration of the Ministry of Home Affairs, explained that the mobile service is an important part of delivering services that are closer, easier, and more inclusive. The activity involved the Central Sulawesi Provincial Dukcapil Office and the Palu City Dukcapil Office.
“We carry out this mobile service to ensure that vulnerable residents still obtain their rights to civil registration documents, even though they have limitations in coming directly to the Dukcapil office,” said Sesario in a press release in Jakarta on Saturday (29/8/2026).
According to him, the approach of delivering services directly to the community is also in line with the spirit of Dukcapil’s rebranding, which not only emphasises document issuance but also builds services that are responsive to citizens’ needs. During three days of field service, officers issued 726 civil administration documents.
