Duff enters Indonesia

HONG KONG (Reuters): U.S. rating agency Duff and Phelps Credit
Rating Co. (DCR) said yesterday that it had formed a joint
venture with PT Kasnic Indotama to rate Indonesian entities.

The partnership was recently approved by regulatory
authorities in Indonesia, DCR said.

It said the venture is expected to start rating issues in the
first quarter of 1998.
