Due to Jokowi's Diploma Issue, SBY and JK's Names Get Dragged In
The issue of the fake diploma of the 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) continues unabated. Report after report and court sessions for the case keep unfolding. Several names are being dragged into the tangle of this issue.
The 6th President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, is said to be the figure behind Jokowi’s fake diploma issue. Accusations circulating on various social media have led to police reports.
The Democratic Party’s Legal Body reported four social media accounts to Metro Jaya Police regarding those accusations.
The report was filed following a warning from the Legal Body on 31 December that was not heeded.
“It is true that last night we filed a report at Metro Jaya Police, as a follow-up to our warning dated 31 December 2025 which was not complied with,” said Muhajir, a member of the Democratic Party’s Legal Body, when contacted on Tuesday, 6 January 2026.
The report was recorded under report number LP/B/97/I/2026/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA dated 5 January 2026 at 23:16 WIB.
The four social media accounts in question are the YouTube accounts @AGRI FANANI, @Bang bOy YTN, @KajianOnline, and the TikTok account @sudirowibudhiusmp. Of the five social media accounts warned, only the YouTube account Zulfan Lindan was not reported.
Muhajir did not firmly disclose the reason why Zulfan Lindan’s account was not reported. Meanwhile, one account, Kajian Online, although it has expressed apologies, was still reported because it was deemed to have exceeded the 3x24-hour warning period.
“Therefore, we still include that account, one of the reported parties is like that. The Kajian Online account,” said Muhajir.
Head of Public Relations at Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, stated that the case is still being investigated by the Cyber Crime Directorate of Metro Jaya Police.
The reporting has also led to an apology from one of the reported parties. The YouTube account named Kajian Online uploaded a video apology on Monday (5/1).
“In this video, Kajian Online also wishes to express apologies to Mr SBY and the Democrats, we also thank the time that has been given by colleagues to discuss with us, regarding several contents that need to be improved and revised,” as stated in the video.
Latest, the name of the 10th and 12th Vice President Jusuf Kalla is also dragged into the Jokowi Diploma case.
Several narratives circulating on digital platforms by Rismon Sianipar accuse JK of funding former Minister of Youth and Sports Roy Suryo with Rp5 billion to pursue Jokowi’s diploma case.
JK denied this.
“I say it is definitely and certainly not true,” said JK during a press conference at his residence in Jakarta on Sunday (5/4).
Therefore, he will report it to the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency to clarify the issue. Later, he said, the reporting will be directly represented through his lawyer today, Monday (6/4).
Meanwhile, Digital Forensics Expert Rismon Sianipar denied mentioning Jusuf Kalla as the funder of the alleged fake Jokowi diploma case.
Rismon’s lawyer, Jahmada Girsang, emphasised that his client never made such a statement. He said the video clips circulating on social media are the result of Artificial Intelligence (AI) manipulation.
“It’s all AI processing, Rismon never mentioned Mr JK’s name,” he told reporters on Sunday (5/4).
Therefore, Jahmada said the statement questioned by JK is a hoax. Furthermore, he declined to comment on JK’s plan to report Rismon.
“Just let it be for now, it’s not that easy to make a report, later in the SPKT the initial evidence presented will be examined first,” he said.
