Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) Dudung Abdurachman plans to open a complaints post for the public.

“It will be in the form of a post. I will set it up here, including a phone number that can be directly accessed by the public,” Dudung said after the handover from M Qodari at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Tuesday (28/4).

He stated that the post would open as widely as possible to information and aspirations from the public.

Dudung plans to open the post this week.

At the same time, Dudung explained that one of the main tasks of the KSP is to act as a bridge between the government, represented by ministries, including regional governments.

He mentioned that there are overlapping programmes at the central and regional levels.

“This needs to be aligned, so if there are complaints from the public, we can definitely handle them directly or forward them to the relevant ministries,” he said.

Dudung was recently inaugurated as Head of KSP, replacing Qodari, who was also inaugurated as Head of the Government Communication Agency, replacing Angga Raka Prabowo.

In addition to Head of KSP, Dudung still holds the concurrent position of Special Advisor to the President on National Defence.

“Still concurrent, but there will definitely be a replacement soon,” Dudung said after the inauguration.

Dudung is a retired Indonesian Army (TNI) officer. He is a graduate of the Military Academy in 1988 and retired as a four-star General with his last position as Army Chief of Staff (KSAD).

In addition, Dudung has held several strategic positions in the TNI.

Dudung was promoted to Brigadier General when trusted to become Deputy Governor of the Military Academy (Akmil) (2015-2016), then Dudung continued as Special Staff to the Army Chief of Staff (2016-2017), and Deputy Territorial Assistant to the KSAD (2017-2018).

Then, he was promoted to Major General while filling the position of Governor of Akmil (2018-2020), then continued leading the region as Commander of Military Territory V Jaya (2020-2021).

After becoming Pangdam, Dudung was promoted to Commander of the Army Strategic Reserve Command (Pangkostrad), at that time he replaced Lieutenant General RNI Eko Margiyono in 2021. After that, Dudung was trusted to become the highest leader of the Army as KSAD.
