JAKARTA - The Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP), Retired General TNI Dudung Abdurrachman, stated that the budget for the revitalisation and repair of schools throughout Indonesia comes from funds resulting from efficiency measures up to seizures of corruptors’ assets.

“Insyaallah, hopefully, and this budget is from (the results of) efficiency, then from the seizures of corruptors’ assets which will ultimately benefit our schoolchildren,” Dudung said during his inspection of the revitalisation results at SMP Muhammadiyah 16, Paseban, Senen Subdistrict, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (12/5/2026).

Therefore, the government is directly channelling the budget funds for school revitalisation to the schools so that they can be immediately executed.

“Imagine, no more leaking schools, the sanitation as well, the toilets. This extraordinary budget goes directly to the school principals,” he said.

“The public must know that the President’s efforts are extraordinary in constantly thinking about this. How our children can learn comfortably, peacefully, coolly, with everything fulfilled,” he added.

This year, the government plans to carry out revitalisation of 71,000 educational units across Indonesia.

“Only 11,000 schools have the budget available and are ready, and the rest will be allocated through ABT,” he said. ABT stands for additional spending budget.

Dudung promised to regularly check the progress of revitalisation at each school to ensure that the funds are absorbed transparently and effectively.

“The President is extraordinary. I myself am moved, meaning I am very proud that going forward I will continue to check whether this is truly implemented (the revitalisation),” he added.
