Dudung Receives Information Regarding Dadan's Removal Amid Allegations of Bribery in Free Nutritious Meal Kitchens
The Chief of Staff to the President (KSP), Dudung Abdurachman, has admitted to receiving information that the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, has been removed from his post due to alleged bribery involving the procurement of kitchens for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme, specifically regarding Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG).
“Yes, I have also received such information,” said Dudung when questioned regarding the alleged bribery case involving the former Head of the BGN, following a working meeting at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He stated that President Prabowo Subianto has also been aware of issues within the BGN for some time through various sources. According to Dudung, President Prabowo intends for the MBG programme to be executed by the BGN with the highest standards of excellence.
“The President wants perfection, ensuring that no deviations from his programme occur, as this involves public funds that must be accounted for to the people,” he said.
Furthermore, Dudung assessed that the removal of Dadan is an appropriate step taken by the President to improve the BGN’s transparency and accountability. He noted that Prabowo is determined to prevent corruption and irregularities within the BGN environment.
“There must be no deviations, and no actions that benefit individuals, groups, or factions; the President truly wants this to serve the interests of the people,” he added.
Dudung also claimed that Prabowo’s intention in implementing the MBG programme is not only to improve children’s intelligence through nutritious food but also to ensure that the BGN’s management is structured to eliminate loopholes for those seeking illicit gains.
“This is something we will continue to monitor. I will personally conduct field checks, and whatever I find, I will report to the press. That is all. I have no burden to carry,” he concluded.
