Dudung: President Has Accurate Information on Who Funded the Demonstrations
Chief of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) Dudung Abdurachman has stated that the government is open to dialogue with parties rejecting the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme to accommodate various inputs regarding its implementation. Dudung said in Jakarta on Friday that President Prabowo Subianto and the government are providing space for the public to convey criticism and suggestions regarding the programme. “The government will be open, even the President will open up to any suggestions and input. Whenever, I can do it at any time,” he said. He added that the complaint and aspiration service managed by the KSP can also be utilised by the public to convey input regarding the MBG programme. According to him, the KSP is ready to engage in dialogue with community groups that have differing views on the programme. Regarding President Prabowo’s statement concerning allegations of parties funding the demonstration actions, Dudung said the Head of State has access to accurate information and will take steps according to his authority. According to him, information regarding the alleged funding of the actions needs to be further verified through the legal process. “I am confident the President also received accurate information. We just need to determine the next legal steps,” he stated.
