Dudung Meets Prabowo at the Palace, This is What Will Be Discussed

The President’s Special Advisor on National Defence, General TNI (Ret.) Dudung Abdurachman, met with President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta. Dudung stated that he was called by Prabowo to provide several inputs regarding developments in national and international defence issues.

detikcom observations on Tuesday (21/4/2026) showed Dudung arriving at the pillar near the State Palace at 14:32 WIB. Dudung said he was summoned to the Palace since the previous evening.

“Oh, last night I was phoned by the aide, ‘Sir, you are to meet the President at 3 pm today’,” Dudung said upon arriving at the Palace.

Dudung was reluctant to reveal the specific topics of the meeting discussion. He said he would only be asked for input on national and international defence issues.

“Oh, I don’t know yet, as the President’s advisor, there might be things he asks for advice on, input. Usually, he likes to ask for advice and input from us as advisors. National and international,” he stated.

Dudung was also asked about Prabowo’s views on the establishment of the Major Defense Cooperation Partnership (MDCP), which was signed by Defence Minister (Menhan) Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth some time ago. He said he would ask Prabowo about it during the meeting.

“That’s been a while ago too, and it seems our cooperation with America will continue. But on the principled matters, I think he will know better. I will also ask him, yes,” he said.
