Dudung Meets Prabowo at the Palace, Discusses Defence to Global Geopolitics

Jakarta, VIVA – President Prabowo Subianto received the President’s Special Advisor for National Defence, retired General TNI Dudung Abdurachman, at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Tuesday, 21 April 2026. The meeting discussed developments in the national defence and security situation amid global geopolitical dynamics.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the Head of State received reports on the current conditions in the defence and security sector, including the continuously evolving geopolitical dynamics.

“In the meeting, President Prabowo received reports related to geopolitical dynamics as well as developments in the defence and security sector,” said Cabinet Secretary Teddy in a written statement on Tuesday, 21 April 2026.

In addition to receiving reports, during the meeting President Prabowo also provided strategic directives regarding several forward steps in maintaining, strengthening, and enhancing the national defence system for the nation’s security.

“And also providing strategic directives for future geostrategic steps,” he added.

This meeting affirms the government’s adaptive efforts in facing challenges from dynamic global geopolitical situations, as well as its commitment to ensuring that national security stability remains maintained.
