The Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP), Dudung Abdurachman, stated that the removal of the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, from his position may be related to allegations involving the buying and selling of kitchen locations for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme.

“Yes, I have received information to that effect,” said Dudung when questioned regarding the alleged bribery case involving the former BGN Head, following a working meeting at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Wednesday.

He noted that President Prabowo Subianto has also been aware of information regarding issues within the BGN for some time from various sources. According to Dudung, the President intends for the MBG programme to be implemented by the BGN as effectively as possible.

“The President wants perfection, ensuring that none of this occurs—that there is no deviation from his programme—because this is public money that must be accounted for to the people,” he said.

He added that the dismissal of the former BGN Head, Dadan Hindayana, was an appropriate step taken by the President to improve the BGN’s transparency and accountability. He emphasised that the President does not want corruption or irregularities to occur within the BGN environment. “There must be no deviations, and no actions that benefit individual, group, or faction interests; rather, the President truly desires that this serves the interests of the people,” he concluded.
