Dudung (KSP): Allegations of Bribery Regarding Free Nutritious Meal Kitchen Locations
The Chief of Staff to the President (KSP), Dudung Abdurachman, has not denied the existence of potential irregularities within the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) project. During a recent unannounced inspection, several discrepancies were identified that require immediate rectification.
Specifically, Dudung noted allegations regarding the ‘buying and selling’ of kitchen locations for the MBG programme. To ensure this flagship government project remains within legal boundaries, the KSS will continue to coordinate with the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) to conduct rigorous oversight and monitoring.
Dudung stated that the government will continue to supervise the implementation of President Prabowo Subianto’s flagship programme to ensure it remains transparent, accountable, and precisely targeted. “We will continue to oversee and conduct field checks. We will report our findings to the media. I have no hesitation in sharing what we find,” Dudung said at the DPR/MPR Complex on Wednesday, 3 June 2026.
Dudung emphasised that President Prabowo has placed significant importance on the MBG programme since its inception. Consequently, the government aims to prevent any practices of corruption, deviations, or parties seeking undue profit from this programme, which is funded by the State Budget (APBN). “The President wants the MBG programme to truly serve the interests of the people,” he added.
He further noted that the KSP will maintain close coordination with the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) to ensure the programme adheres to all regulations.
Regarding the recent leadership changes within the BGN, Dudung believes the President’s decision was planned well in advance rather than being a sudden move. He noted that the President had been receiving various pieces of information and evaluating the BGN’s performance for some time before deciding on the reshuffle.
The Minister of State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, previously announced the appointment of Nanik Sudaryati Deyang as the Head of the BGN, replacing Dadan Hindayana. Nanik previously served as the Deputy Head of the BGN. In addition to the change in agency leadership, the President also reshuffled the Deputy Head positions, with Sony Sanjaya and Lodewyk Pusung being replaced by Agustina Arumsari and Major General Trenggono, respectively.
Prasetyo explained that these changes resulted from a government evaluation conducted over approximately one and a half years regarding the MBG programme. During this process, the President received various inputs from ministries and the programme’s beneficiaries.
A few hours after the reshuffle was announced, the BGN office in Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, was raided by investigators from the Attorney General’s Office. The Acting Head of the Legal Information Centre of the Attorney General’s Office, Mochamad Jeffry, confirmed the raid.
He stated that the search was conducted by investigators from the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes. However, the Attorney General’s Office has not yet disclosed the specific case underlying the raid. “An official release will follow,” said Jeffry.
