Dubai Inaugurates the World's First 24-Hour Women-Only Beach
Dubai now offers a different experience for female tourists with its new beach. It’s not just about enjoying the white sand and blue sea; there’s now a private beach exclusively for women that can be enjoyed 24 hours a day.
The beach, called Al Mamzar Beach, is located in the northeast of Dubai, near the Sharjah border, and will open to tourists and residents in May 2026.
Unlike regular public beaches, this area is equipped with privacy fences, strict no-photography rules, and a smart security system to ensure the comfort of female visitors.
The Dubai government says the project is part of a larger plan to develop public beaches and coastal tourism infrastructure in the city.
Several destinations in the United Arab Emirates already have women-only beach areas or specific days for female visitors.
However, Al Mamzar is said to be the first private women-only beach operating 24 hours a day.
The 125,000 square meter beach area is fully operated by female staff, from security guards to lifeguards.
The beach also features a children’s play area, with a rule that boys under the age of six are allowed to enter with their parents.
The Dubai Municipality estimates that the number of visitors to the Al Mamzar Corniche area will reach seven million people per year after the second phase of the project is completed.
The CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, Badr Anwahi, said that this project is one of Dubai’s strategic developments in improving the quality of coastal infrastructure while strengthening Dubai’s position as a beach tourism destination.
“This beach is designed as an active waterfront destination that operates around the clock with a comfortable and integrated experience,” said Badr Anwahi.
In addition to providing modern facilities, the project is also said to be part of Dubai’s strategy to strengthen the tourism sector and beach-based lifestyle.
