DTSEN Update: Social Minister States 470,000 Beneficiary Families to Receive Aid in Q2 2026
She stated that this change occurred due to the updating of the National Single Socio-Economic Data (DTSEN), which has been carried out by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS).
“Every quarter, there are certainly changes in the beneficiary recipients. For this second quarter, there are more than 470,000 new Beneficiary Recipient Families who will receive assistance in the second quarter. They did not receive aid in the first quarter,” said Gus Ipul in his statement on Saturday (9/5/2026).
The statement was delivered following a Ministerial Level Meeting discussing the Evaluation of the Implementation of Presidential Instruction Number 8 of 2025 at the BP Jamsostek Building, Setiabudi, South Jakarta, on Friday (8/5). The meeting was chaired by the Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment (PM), Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin), and attended by the Head of BPS, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti.
Gus Ipul explained that every quarter, the Ministry of Social Affairs distributes social assistance based on the updated DTSEN by BPS. He said that changes in the aid recipient data are a normal occurrence.
“Therefore, there are certainly changes in the Beneficiary Recipient Families. Although the majority remain the same as the previous recipient families,” he stated.
Gus Ipul revealed that the Ministry of Social Affairs, together with BPS and local governments, continues to collaborate in updating the DTSEN, which serves as the guideline for aid distribution. To date, there are already more than 70,000 Village Data Operators involved in the data renewal.
“Alhamdulillah, through good cooperation, we now have more than 70,000 village data operators,” he revealed.
“With these village data operators, besides obtaining direct data, the public can respond more quickly if they need activation or reactivation or to update their data,” he added.
The updated beneficiary data for social assistance is then entered into the Next Generation Social Welfare Information System (SIKS-NG) of the Ministry of Social Affairs. This application is connected to district/city and provincial social services, the Ministry of Social Affairs, and the DTSEN managed directly by BPS.
“So through this application, we can measure proposals from the regions, data updates from the regions, and at the same time, of course, see the socio-economic developments of each beneficiary family,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Amalia stated that her agency has carried out the DTSEN update. The latest updated data is for the second quarter of 2026.
“In the DTSEN version II 2026 or in Q2 2026, the number of registered population or what we call the number of records entered into our DTSEN that we have reconciled with Dukcapil is 289 million people,” said Amalia.
