The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) and Statistics Indonesia (BPS) will accelerate the update cycle of the National Single Social and Economic Data (DTSEN) for recipients of regular social assistance (bansos) under the Family Hope Programme (PKH) and Staple Food Programme. This step aims to ensure more timely and targeted distribution.

This was stated by Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) at the Ministry of Social Affairs office in Central Jakarta on Wednesday (1 April 2026). Those present at the meeting included Deputy Social Minister Agus Jabo Priyono, Secretary General of Kemensos Robben Rico, Head of the Centre for Social Welfare Data and Information of Kemensos Joko Widiarto, Director of Statistical Information Systems of BPS Joko Parmiyanto, Director of People’s Welfare Statistics of BPS Budi Setiawan, and other related officials.

“Usually, we receive the data (DTSEN) on the 20th of each quarter I, quarter II, and quarter III. But alhamdulillah, we are advancing it to receive it on the 10th, then 10 April and so on. So every 10th, we will receive it, and the update results will serve as the guideline for distributing bansos every month,” said Gus Ipul in a written statement on Thursday (2 April 2026).

He said that with the earlier receipt of DTSEN update results, Kemensos targets continuous improvement in social assistance distribution to beneficiaries.

“With more time for distribution, we hope the distribution percentage will continue to increase,” stated Gus Ipul.

He explained that in the first quarter of 2026, PKH and Staple Food Programme distribution had reached more than 96%.

“I also express my thanks for the hard work of my colleagues, as it indeed requires effort to distribute well,” said Gus Ipul.

Gus Ipul explained that social assistance distribution is carried out through two channels: state-owned banks under the State-Owned Banks Association (Himbara) and PT Pos Indonesia.

For the second quarter, Gus Ipul assured that the quality of DTSEN is becoming more solid. Kemensos targets on-time distribution of bansos for April, May, and June to eligible community members.

He also reminded social assistance beneficiaries to use the aid wisely according to its purpose. In addition, he encouraged participation in empowerment programmes so that beneficiary families can become more independent.

“We invite everyone gradually to join social empowerment programmes so that beneficiary families in the future will be more independent, as hoped by President Prabowo Subianto,” said Gus Ipul.

Meanwhile, BPS Chief Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti stated that her agency continues to consolidate data for the DTSEN update. This data will later serve as the reference for second-quarter bansos distribution.

“We also conducted data consolidation earlier for the preparation of DTSEN that we must deliver for the second quarter 2026 version. It will then become the basis for the Minister of Social Affairs to distribute bansos in the second quarter,” Amalia concluded.
