JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk is accelerating the development of new renewable energy and artificial intelligence-based digital infrastructure.

DSSA’s Vice President Director, Lokita Prasetya, stated that the energy sector remains the foundation of the business. Focus is directed towards operational efficiency and sustainability.

This strategy is implemented through strengthening sustainable mining practices. Efforts are made via increased energy efficiency and integrated environmental management.

Implementation is evident in the acceleration of operational fleet electrification at PT Borneo Indobara. This step reduces costs while promoting the transition to green mining.

“DSSA is gradually continuing to strengthen its New Renewable Energy (EBT) portfolio, particularly in the geothermal and solar sectors, to create a more balanced energy mix,” said Lokita during a Media Gathering on Thursday (2/4/2026).

This commitment is realised through an integrated solar panel factory with a capacity of 1 gigawatt in the Kendal Special Economic Zone. The company is also developing geothermal projects through PT DSSR Daya Mas Sakti.

The total project potential reaches 440 megawatts. Exploration is underway in six areas, including Cisolok and Cipanas in West Java, as well as regions in Sumatra, Flores, and Central Sulawesi.

DSSA is also partnering with PT FirstGen Geothermal Indonesia to strengthen technical and operational capabilities.

“Our approach is to maintain the reliability of current energy supply, while gradually developing lower-emission energy sources as part of the Company’s long-term strategy,” said Lokita.

Strengthening is also being carried out in the digital sector. CEO of PT DSST, Mas Gemilang Marlo Budiman, stated that the company is expanding connectivity infrastructure and AI-based solutions.

Collaboration is being forged with iFLYTEK to develop various AI solutions and analytics based on Large Language Models.

“The growth in data and connectivity needs is the main driver of our digital business development. We see great opportunities to promote equitable digital penetration by addressing existing gaps, while providing easily accessible AI-based solutions,” said Marlo.
