DSLNG Safeguards Coastal Ecosystem Through Mangrove Planting Initiative

PT Donggi Senoro LNG (DSLNG) has taken steps to protect the coastal ecosystem in commemoration of World Environment Day 2026 through a mangrove planting initiative at the Angke Kapuk Nature Tourism Park in North Jakarta. This effort was undertaken to foster environmental awareness within the community, transcending regional boundaries and manifesting wherever possible. “As a company operating in the energy sector, we understand that success is not solely measured by operational and business performance, but also by how we make a tangible contribution to the environment and society. Through this mangrove planting, we want to show that environmental concern must be realised through concrete actions and collaboration among various parties,” said DSLNG Operation Director Adi Kustanto in an official statement in Jakarta on Monday. He explained that the choice of Angke Kapuk Nature Tourism Park as the location holds particular significance, as the area is one of Jakarta’s vital coastal green fortresses, playing a crucial role in maintaining environmental balance amidst the pressures of urbanisation and climate change. DSLNG also supports the implementation of PROPER Beyond Compliance, particularly in aspects of regional resilience, disaster risk reduction, and post-disaster environmental recovery. “This mangrove planting action serves as a reminder that protecting the environment is not solely the task of the government or specific groups. By involving company leaders, employees, and business partners in a unified movement, DSLNG demonstrates that small, consistent steps can have a significant impact on the future of the environment and generations to come,” Adi stated.
