DSI Case Hearing: OJK Witness Reveals Supervision and Three Vehicle Accounts

A witness from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) revealed the supervision process of PT Dana Syariah Indonesia (DSI), including direct inspections of the company and three vehicle accounts allegedly linked to Taufiq Aljufri. The testimony was delivered during the DSI case hearing at the Depok District Court on Wednesday (19/8/2026).

Of the five OJK witnesses scheduled, three appeared and gave testimony before the panel of judges. The witnesses explained that during the supervision process, they visited PT DSI directly and met with Taufiq Aljufri, Ari Riza, and several company employees.

One OJK witness from the supervision division, Nurul Fathiyah, also provided testimony regarding the vehicle accounts. During the hearing, Nurul explained that there were three vehicle accounts allegedly linked to Taufiq Aljufri. The testimony was given while the witness was explaining the account structure in the supervision process of PT DSI.

Meanwhile, the OJK witnesses stated that they had never met Mery Yuniarni during the supervision activities of PT DSI. Mery Yuniarni’s legal counsel, Abdul Bari Alkatiri, said his team was examining the witness testimony based on each party’s position and authority.

“Witness testimony must be viewed based on each party’s position and authority,” said Abdul Bari on Friday (21/8/2026).

Abdul Bari said his team was also examining the OJK witnesses’ testimony regarding the supervision activities of PT DSI.

“So far, nothing has touched on Mery Yuniarni’s involvement in the supervision activities of PT DSI,” he said.

Previously, the public prosecutor indicted Mery Yuniarni together with Taufiq Aljufri and Arie Rizal Lesmana for collecting public funds through alleged fictitious projects and an internal lender scheme.
