D's, Kinara lead expat pool league

JAKARTA: With just a couple of regular season matches to be played in the 2003 Bintang Jakarta Expat Pool League, the D's Place Patriots and Kinara lead their respective conferences ahead of a possible titanic clash in the final playoffs on June 29 at The Beat in Kemang, South Jakarta.

Despite losing for the first time all season in Conference 2 -- last Tuesday to 3rd place Star Deli Terminators -- the Patriots have mathematically clinched the conference pennant and get an automatic berth in the championship semifinals.

Kinara also looks set to win Conference 1 after a 7-0 whitewash of the P's Place Knights on Thursday.

The top three teams from the two conferences qualify for the playoffs.
